Hulu is bringing back Futurama. The streaming service announced today that 20 new episodes of the animated sci-fi comedy have been ordered for a return in 2023 for what will be its 8th overall season and third network.

The series began back in 1999 and only ended up airing seven seasons through 2013. It started out on Fox, lasting four years before getting the axe due to low ratings. Adult Swim picked up the rights to air reruns, which did well on the network, prompting a re-launch in 2007 with four direct-to-DVD movies. Comedy Central then aired the movies broken down into episodes, eventually deciding to order seasons 6 & 7.

Futurama revolves around the Planet Express interplanetary delivery company and its employees, a small group that largely fails to conform to future society. Philip J. Fry is a New York City pizza delivery boy who was unwittingly cryogenically frozen for one thousand years. Now, in the retro-futuristic 31st century, he finds himself working at Planet Express.
