No Season 3 for the reimagined sitcom.
May 4, 2022
It is being reported that Peacock has cancelled Saved by the Bell after two seasons. Coming five months after the comedy's sophomore run, the news is somewhat surprising as the show appeared to be performing well for the streaming service.
The half-hour series premiered in late 2020 and was renewed within two months of its release, with Peacock touting that it was its top original series. Actual viewership numbers, however, are unknown. Critically, the show faired reasonably well, and even took home a 2022 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
A reimagining of the beloved 1990s sitcom, Saved by the Bell follows a new group of students at Bayside High, which recently integrated some new students after California governor Zack Morris closed a bunch of underfunded high schools. This influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids a much-needed reality check.

Feel bad for Mark Paul Gossellar, guy cant be apart of a successful franchise to save his life. Everything he touches turns bad

"2022 GLAAD Media Award"
That says it all. You took a show that didn't need to be "updated" and you made it woke. Now it's gone. They got what they deserved while destroying a franchise.
