The comedy will not return for Season 3.
May 12, 2022
Word is out that NBC has cancelled Kenan after two seasons. The news comes three months after the comedy wrapped its sophomore run.
The series premiered in 2021, where it performed decently on Tuesday nights airing after 'Young Rock'. Its second season returned this winter but aired without its Season 1 lead-in, resulting in lower viewership than its freshman outing. The show had long been considered as on the bubble for renewal.
Kenan follows the titular single father who's doing his best to balance his career as a popular morning show host in Atlanta with raising his two lively young daughters. While his father-in-law and his brother are always offering to help, they usually find a way to make things a whole lot worse.

I’m sorry to see it go. However, I’m not surprised. The writing, the core premise were off. I’m sorry to say, but zKenan is not that funny on SNL.
Huh?

Just 2 seasons to fulfill that "Lorne Michels gives you 2 seasons of your own show for being on SNL" contract clause. Horrible show.

This show was funny !!! The whole cast was solid. Even the minor characters were great. ( Shout out to Pam ) Don Johnson, Chris Reid, and Kenan as a family. Awesome !
