The superhero drama's next season will conclude its story.
June 11, 2024
Amazon's Prime Video announced today that The Boys will be ending after its fifth season. The news comes less than a month after the superhero drama was picked up for Season 5, and just two days before its Season 4 premiere.
"#TheBoys Season 4 Premiere Week is a good time to announce: Season 5 will be the Final Season!" showrunner Eric Kripke said in a post on social media. "Always my plan, I just had to be cagey till I got the final OK from Vought. Thrilled to bring the story to a gory, epic, moist climax. Watch Season 4 in 2 DAYS, cause the end has begun!"
Based on the comic book by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the series is set in a world where powerful and revered superheroes abuse their powers instead of using them for good. To combat this, a superpowered CIA squad is tasked with monitoring the community and exposing the truth about The Seven, and Vought – the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes and covers up all of their dirty secrets.

Which is one season too late really, but it is what it is. This show has greatly declined in quality and nose-dived on script quality. As with other shows with "The Message" this show has become about girl bosses who are all way better and more powerful that even Homelander.
Male nudity is fine, but they are now shying away from female nudity. there are still some good lines here and there, but it's a shadow of it's former self, which had so many changes from the comic, it really hurt it in a lot of ways, but gave them lots of agenda items to work into it.
Sad, but glad it's done.

Zeke you need to get over it. They portrayed gullible ignorant idiots as being idiots and the monsters they are. Sorry you can't face a mirror. Being anti-woke is to be ignorant. I'm glad this show is self-aware unlike a certain base.

Looking forward to a proper ending, not just being switched off in the middle of a >click<

Great show! The producer wants to wrap up the story. Awesome! It is nice to know that there will be no cliffhanger.

I loved Supernatural, but we don't need a season 16. There is literally nothing left for them to do, plus the show ended with Sam and Dean both dead and in heaven, and had perfect sendoffs for all the fan favorite characters.
Would love to see Jared join the cast for season 5 of The Boys though. Woker.... I mean Walker getting cancelled opened up that door.

Go woke, get broke! Good riddance with your stupid Homelander/Trump analogies and portraying a superhero as racist for stopping black criminals. This show presented itself as edgy to disguise the fact that it’s just more woke garbage from Hollywoke! Even the creator admitted that his show is woke trash!

@Winston457,
Kripke didn't work on Supernatural from Season 6-15 so why would he want to make a Season 16, genius?
