The dystopian drama will conclude its story in 2023.
June 17, 2022
It is being reported that Snowpiercer will be ending its run on TNT after its upcoming fourth season. The news comes nearly a year after the dystopian drama was picked up for its now-final season, though a premiere date for its return has yet to be set.
The show debuted in May 2020 and became the most-watched cable program of that month. A solid freshman run was followed up with more success in Season 2, where it ranked as a Top 5 drama on cable TV with 21 million viewers across linear and digital platforms. Season 3 aired earlier this year, concluding in March after seeing series low ratings.
Adapted from the film and graphic novel series of the same name, Snowpiercer takes place seven years after the world became a frozen wasteland. Now the only surviving remnants of humanity inhabit a perpetually-moving train of 1001 cars that circles the earth. Within this new society, class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival are all in play.
Look for Season 4 of Snowpiercer in early 2023.

Season 3 was terrible, I am glad this show is ending so they do not further damage the franchise.

Loved the movie but was never able to get into the series. Four seasons pretty impressive these days.

Not surprised, and not bothered either.
Season 1 and (mostly) 2 was great, the story involving the balance of power between the tailies and the well off and we got to see some rich character development but then the story bent to things like the train stopping and starting, not really something a perpetual motion machine would do, and by the time season 3 arrived it had become the Sean Bean show with the storyline almost entirely about his character vs. almost everyone else making episode after episode as dull as ditchwater, so much that I couldnt even be bothered to watch the last 3 of season 3 with no intention of watching season 4.

Decided to not gonna care for this series anymore, since Season 3's finale. Mainly because the storyline was getting darker and darker, with too much overlap and interchange between protagonists and antagonists. Not my kind of pie anymore these days.

Really wanted to like this one, but it was so boring… If memory serves, the comic book was a lot better.

Gotta make room for stupid reality TV shows no one will watch.
