The network will not air the drama's final season.
January 13, 2023
It is being reported by Deadline that TNT has opted not to air Snowpiercer's fourth and final season. The news comes seven months after word leaked that Season 4 would mark the end of the series and a year-and-a-half after it was last renewed.
The news does not come as a complete shock, as the dystopian drama was the last remaining original scripted series airing on the cable network. While the show's fourth season has already completed filming, TNT's decision is reportedly linked to tax write-offs at Warner Bros. Discovery. For its part, production company Tomorrow Studios is trying to find a new home for the fourth season as well as a potential prequel and sequel.
Adapted from the film and graphic novel series of the same name, Snowpiercer takes place seven years after the world became a frozen wasteland. Now the only surviving remnants of humanity inhabit a perpetually-moving train of 1001 cars that circles the earth. Within this new society, class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival are all in play.

even in a plethora of land space and ever evolving greens. enough greens to support the disembarked train peoples.
and sure there were animals.
but who is king? who dictates? the old rule of the dead guy or the dreadlock guy or the firstname.lastname@example.org/teen movie person?
even with optimal expansionism, of land grabs, farminging, and herding.
is this new society gonna avoid their second cousins from procreation one day?
lets get back to the original thing
we need wormholes, solar panels, harry hamlin fusion, and science.
the snowspeeder train was a good attempt.

we are going to have to take this discussion up later. About how a mere 3400-3800 leftover humans are gonna repopulate the world starting out in a hollowed, volcanic, ferngully growing, about 10000 yards in diameter, with eden tree at center watering hole is gonna feed the train dump.
fun fun talks/
I am sure you imagine lots of endings for shows when you close your eyes and don't watch a channel :)

But for those of you who don't mind TNT's tactics, enjoy. And I agree with you, I hope Brtibox, or any other station, picks up this final season.

Oh, you misunderstand. I have no intention of trying to rid myself of the channel in my cable bundle. I just don't ever intend to watch a show on it again :). That I CAN do. wink wink

Good luck extricating the tnt channel from your cable subscription. No one can leave the bundles, without work.
Sean Bean was in this show. Maybe BritBox will stream season 4.

Actually What What.....I CAN be done with TNT since Snowpiercer was the only show on there I watched. Without it, I don't need the channel. Hope another channel picks up the final season so I can never have to go back to them LOL

Usually I am not "that" person who whines when a show gets cancelled because the story wasn't finished or whatever, but I will take an exception here.
This really sucks. Especially because they have filmed it all, and because this was really a good show. Its not like it was struggling or anything. It managed to be pretty interesting for the 3 seasons that aired. Cancelling completed projects for a ax write-off...the art-form is getting lost in all this corporate restructuring.

Unfortunate. Really enjoyed the show and to not air Season 4 just seems odd. At first I thought it may be because it was ending on a cliffhanger but given that Season 4 was already going to be the end, that can't be it.

Oh for goodness sake -- you have GOT to be kidding me. Good way to stick it to the loyal fans that kept this show afloat. AND you left us with a serious cliffhanger. I was so excited to see what we knew was the final season -- and now you've decided to just can it and store it for a tax write off! So done with TNT. Nobody enjoys getting hooked on a show and then be left hanging.
