No Season 2 for the anthology series.

It is being reported that The First Lady has been cancelled by Showtime after just one season. The news comes less than two months after the drama wrapped its 10-episode freshman run, which ultimately received a mixed critical reception.
The series was meant to be an anthology, with each season exploring the personal and political lives of women at the heart of the White House. Season 1 focused on the lives of Michelle Obama, Betty Ford, and Eleanor Roosevelt - from their journeys to Washington, family life, and important political contributions.

Quite liked this but didn’t like Viola Davis as Michelle Obama thought she overdid it a little. But on he whole I like historical fiction like this

I just couldn’t watch Viola Davis as Michelle Obama! Other than that I quite enjoy shows this usually

I enjoyed the series. I would have like to see another season but I am sad to see it leave. Living in the Washington DC area, you heard the rumors of how the wives were behind the scene. It was nice to see the actual truth.
