No Season 5 for the sci-fi drama.

It is being reported that HBO has cancelled Westworld after four seasons. The news comes two months after the sci-fi drama wrapped its now-final run.
Headlined by an A-list cast along with big-name producers and high-quality production values, the series premiered in 2016 and made its mark by becoming HBO's most-watched debut series of all time. While each season has garnered a healthy amount of critical praise, viewership has continued to slip considerably during the past two seasons.
Today's cancellation is unfortunate for long-time fans of the big-budget series, as its story will go unfinished. Co-showrunner Jonathan Nolan said when questioned just last month that he had always planned on a fifth and final season.
Based on the 1973 film of the same name, Westworld is a dark odyssey that takes place in the near future, with a re-imagined past, during the emergence of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin.

As far as I am concerned, Season 4 was a good ending for it. All, well...most, plot arcs were concluded. I saw no point in a Season 5 that would basically rehash the first 4 seasons in a different way. I would not have watched it anyway. It was off my list.
Anyway, doesn't matter, since HBO is taking Westworld off the air completely, for some reason...

@T.I. See, heres the thing. Therers absolutely ZERO reasons...well, zero VIABLE reasons to be AGAINST people being woke. You guys are just going to have to face the cold, hard reality that certain, traditionally downtrodden groups of people arent going to just lay there and take that B.S. anymore. That party is OVER. You're living in a new world and its never going back. If anyone wants to return there I suggest they build a time machine and set a course for anywhere in the 1950's. That should be a good "sweet spot" for them, lol

Well, it was pretty good for it's first season, maybe the second, but it really went downhill with the wokeness after that. It's too bad they didn't get to wrap it up properly though, but that's how the cookie crumbles.

Damnit! I really wish they would have just let this show finish its final season. And for all of you "Woke" haters, you'd better get used to it because the world is not going back to the way you apparently like it. Where everyone on TV were white and heterosexual...mostly white males. Now ALL TV shows on ALL networks are making shows that actually include everyone else in the world. An ACTUAL representation of the way everythings REALLY been all along anyway. Kudos to them!

Maybe another streamer will pick it up so at least we get a finale. BTW all the big contract stars get paid whether or not there is another season to the tune of 80 million bucks.

Season 1 was awesome, 2 was good, 3 went off the rails a bit for me, but 4 brought it back in line for me, loved it. Sorry we won't see the conclusion!
