No Season 2 for the mystery drama.
January 2, 2023
Word is out that Netflix has cancelled 1899 after just one season. Cast member Lucas Lynggaard Tonnesen, as well as the show's creators, took to social media to express their sadness over the move, which makes 1899 the first cancelled series of 2023.
The show follows a group of European passengers on an immigrant ship, traveling from London to the new continent, who get caught in a mysterious riddle when they come across a second vessel adrift on the open sea. Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger, as the creators had envisioned a three-season run for the show, which unfortunately has been cut short.
As a lot of you may already know… 1899 will not be renewed for a 2nd and 3rd season… We are all truly devastated by this fact. This photo was taken the first night I met these people. You can take away the show, but you can’t take away family🖤 Thank you all for watching

This show was just boring and not able to be watched really. Kind of like war of the worlds. Everytime they went to France or japan they spoke french or japanese Excuse me I speak english and am sort of good at spanish but even that language has like 1000 different variants.
Woke does kill shows but boring and not even being able to understand what people are saying kills them faster
Like "Life on Mars", you don't find out the real secret until the end of the final episode.
There appears to be no gray area. It's a yes or a no, and no human emotion or thought come into play.
The way the first season ended, the second season would need to be dramatically different.
