No Season 3 for the space cruise comedy.

It is being reported that HBO has cancelled Avenue 5 after two seasons. The news comes two months after the space comedy wrapped its sophomore run. Its two seasons garnered a generally positive critical reception, though it failed to draw a significant audience.
Set 40 years in the future, the half-hour series follows a luxury space cruise ship during a time when space tourism is all the rage. Captain Ryan Clark, played by Hugh Laurie, and his crew must work to deal with disgruntled passengers, unexpected events, and each other, after experiencing technical difficulties onboard.

At this point, the only new one can expect from HBO/WB is cancellations and outright removals from circulation. I think they continued with The Last of Us only because they know its gonna be 2, maybe 3 seasons at most.
Having said that, Avenue 5 season 2 was boring. I can understand why it was cancelled. It was more like a SNL skit than a well produced series.

Yikes, I agree with some of the comments here that this show was a little bit different. Personally I loved it. I’m not done with HBO yet because of shows like The Last of Us, Perry Mason and Succession.

Usually I don't bother watching HBO stuff, not since they did they dirty on Deadwood. But this was something different, quirky, and funny...at least as funny as American comedy can be. True to form, HBO strikes again...
