The sci-fi drama will return for a second season.

Syfy announced today that The Ark has been renewed for Season 2. The early pickup comes with two episodes remaining in the sci-fi drama's 12-episode freshman run. A new episode airs tonight ahead of the season finale next Wednesday.
"We couldn't be more excited to get back into space with the crew of the Ark," creators Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner said in a joint statement. "Syfy continues to be an amazing partner and home for this series."
Set 100 years in the future, The Ark follows mankind starting planetary colonization missions as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The first mission utilizes a spacecraft known as Ark One, but it encounters a catastrophic event that causes mass destruction and loss of life. With over a year left to go before reaching their target planet, the remaining crew must find a way to stay on course while dealing with a lack of life-sustaining supplies and loss of leadership.
Look for Season 2 of The Ark in 2024.

You can’t put too much thought into it or you will start criticizing it. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. It’s a fun show. Decent characters. The story line is interesting and it fills this void I have for new sci-fi. I’m super happy it was renewed!

That is what I was talking about. You don't read one page of a book and say it sucks. All the people who have watched 3 or more episodes like the show. I watched 1 episode of Big Bang Theory and did not care for it. I do not post online how bad it sucks from 1 episode. I only post on what I think is worth watching.

I'm really happy that it got reniewed for a second season. I wasnt sure about this show after the first few episode , but the scenario got better as the season went along.

I decided to watch the first episode, and it was good enough that I decided to give it a few more episodes. Now, here we are: season 1 is almost over, and I'm hooked. It's gotten better and better as the season has gone by! Really glad to hear it's been renewed!

The show got really good by the third episode. The first two were decent though It is a easy fun watch.

Tried to watch the first episode and no its not for me. Low budget of course it was renewed. Some enjoy this where as some don't. Its not for me.

I think I didn't watch this because as someone suggested "it looks like high school in space." Lost in space works for me, old people in space may or may not work, but kids in space sounds like it's counting on teenage appeal.

Excellent show. It did take more than a few episodes to hit it's stride. Stick with this show. It improves as the season goes on.
