The docuseries won't return for a second season.
March 18, 2024
It appears that LA Fire & Rescue is one and done at NBC. The network released its upcoming summer schedule today, and the docuseries was notably absent. The show premiered last June, airing eight episodes that focused on the inner workings of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Cameras gave viewers unprecedented access to the LACoFD's 2,300 square miles of service, where its members are responsible for protecting the lives and property of four million residents across 59 cities. The series captured real calls and real drama while giving faces to the passionate firefighters who risk their lives in the name of service. From helicopter mountain rescues and lifeguard beach emergencies, to fireboats, hazmat units and California's raging wildfires, the department does it all.

Was an ok show but it was too woke, you can see they egged some of these amazing folks on with DEI stuff.
Stopped watching after 2 episodes.
ID has a show called BodyCam that keeps it real.
Go woke Go Broke , sad that heroes can't just be left to be heroes.

I guess actual reality was too much for some people. It's strange is it not? Top singers and athletes get ridiculous paychechs for entertainment while these actual heroes do it for the service and the great purpose they have with all of their fellow team mates who have their backs - without question. Many of these brave souls, both men and women (and others) go into very dangerous neighborhoods where their own lives may be in danger not from fires, building cave-ins, or chemical leaks, but from others who do not want them there. Don't worry, these people were doing their jobs long before there were cameras and they will still be doing it long after the spotlight has faded. Godspeed, Great Ones of LA Fire and Rescue!

All the best to your daughter, Denise. Very thankful for the great EMTs and firefighters out there.

I was going to say it would be odd that a show cancellation would crush one's dreams to pursue a career.
Then I look back and think of all the folks in my generation who became Firefighters/Medics by watching Johnny and Roy on "Emergency!". ;-)

Hi Denise, hope this cancellation doesn’t force her to abandon her dreams. Playing for her.

I hate to see this series end. This show kept my daughter motivated to continue her training as an EMT. Now she is going thru the fire academy.
