No Season 4 for the spinoff series.
April 26, 2024
Word is out that CBS has cancelled NCIS: Hawai'i after three seasons. The news comes with just two episodes remaining in the drama's now-final run. At 10 episodes, this season was its shortest to date due to last year's writers strike. Co-creator Christopher Silber took to X with a statement expressing gratitude to the cast, writers, and crew.
Before today, the show remained the only scripted series at the network whose fate for the next season was undecided. At 54 total episodes, NCIS: Hawai'i is set to have the briefest duration of any series within the naval franchise so far.
The third spinoff in the NCIS universe, the show follows the first female in charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor and her skilled team of mainland transplants and knowledgeable locals. Together they focus on investigating high-stakes crimes involving military personnel, national security, and the mysteries of the island itself.

Frustrated by this. This series has a great cast and chemistry (all except LL Cool J), and it’s a shame it’s been put out to pasture. How Sydney has not gone before this off-shoot I’ve no idea

I may be the only one but I never cared for the spin-offs because of the characters. The accents in New Orleans were cringy so never got through but a couple of episodes. LA, Sam, Callum and Henrietta’s character were too dry and their personalities were not likable. The only character I like on Hawai’i is Ernie. Everyone else was just too stiff and unmemorable specially Tennant. I gave Sydney my all but their lead trying the American accent makes watching her unbearable because of lack of mouth movement. I’ve seen her in videos with her natural accent and she seems fine but her character just doesn’t feel like a lead or anywhere comparable to Gibbs or even Parker. All in all not sad to see this go.

Brian they did that with Seal Team and the quality went way downhill along with the budget,

Why doesn't CBS transfer shows to Paramount + before canceling them and have them end naturally? We will probably get a cliffhanger, and won't be concluded. Sad... I think shows should start having 2 endings, one for being renewed and the other a natural ending if they get canceled. So sad that Hawai'i is canceled. I guess it is not the place to film. example Hawaii 5-O, Magnum P.I., now Hawai'i'.

@Pam I have never watched NCIS, CSI or any Chicago franchises but Help Me Todd was great and enjoyed it. I've been watching UK shows. I'm also annoyed that L&O. OC is being moved to Peacock and now people will need to subscribe or download it for free like I do. I have never subscribed to any streaming services but IPTV & Syncler. All I need!
Stupid reality shows get renewed or added and good shows get the axe.

@L-2:
Sydney has already been renewed for another season. They announced it a month or so ago if memory serves.

I had a bad feeling this was coming when it wasn't renewed at the same time the original NCIS was. I also remember hearing that the ratings weren't so hot last year, just like SHMT, so when that show was cancelled that bad feeling got worse.
It also felt like they were trying to lay the groundwork for a new spinoff with the guy they brought in from NCIS LA this year, with the whole "ELITE team" thing. If that's the case, I wonder if it got scrapped when that other new spinoff got announced a couple of months ago.
