No Season 2 for the midseason comedy.

It is being reported that Extended Family has been cancelled by NBC after one season. The news comes less than two months after the comedy wrapped its 13-episode freshman run, which ultimately garnered a lukewarm reception from critics and viewers.
The half-hour series followed amicably divorced couple Jim and Julia, who decide to keep raising their kids at the family home while taking turns on who stays with them. Navigating the waters of divorce and child-sharing gets increasingly complicated for Jim when Trey, the owner of his favorite sports team, enters Julia's life and wins her heart.

Show was not the best on TV, but I still enjoyed watching it. I am finding it harder and harder to keep a TV subscription. Only a few shows worth watching. I turn the TV on nightly and most of the time just put music on instead.

... sorry.. whenever Abigail Spencer is on screen.. I simply picture those videos that leaked a few years ago.... if she speaks.. I don't hear it...

I apologize for the fans that enjoyed this show. but I thought it failed miserably. Great cast with horrendous writing. I wanted to like this show. I tried 3 times before giving up.

Glad they put it out of its misery. Tried to watch the first couple episodes cause I’m a fan of the actors from Scrubs and Two and a half men…this show was unfunny, unwatchable and just laugh track over the worst jokes. Cancellation couldn’t come soon enough

They had to get rid of a highly rated good show to make room for the low rated terrible show lopez.

Seriously? I really thought it would be renewed. It was one of the best shows on NBC. Definitely the best sitcom on any of the major networks this season.
