The sci-fi dramedy has found a new home.
June 18, 2024
USA Network has renewed Resident Alien for a fourth season. Coming two months after its Season 3 finale, the news will see the sci-fi dramedy move to its new home on USA Network from Syfy, where it aired its first three seasons.
The hour-long series premiered in 2021 and it has since served as a reliable cable performer. Its most recent season averaged a total of 3.3 million viewers and 1 million in the 18-49 demographic across all platforms through 35 days.
Based on the Dark Horse comic of the same name, Resident Alien follows an alien named Harry that has crash landed on Earth with a mission to kill all humans. He decides to pass himself off as a small-town doctor to mix in among the people, but things get tricky when he gets pulled into solving a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate further into his new surroundings. As he does this, Harry starts to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his mission and begins wondering if humans might be worth saving.

Fantastic News!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this show. I think L-2 must have this show confused with "The Resident" instead of Resident Alien. JustJessee said it perfect for all the haters out there. You can simply not watch anything you don't like. No one forces you to watch anything. Please don't hate on shows you don't like. Just simply pass it by and go watch a documentary on the making of the largest ball of yarn or something similar that probably is more to your liking.

I get what your saying L-2, while the show is still somewhat enjoyable it was been a little less every season. Hoping we get a stratifying ending before i actively dislike the show.

Hey "L-2" ya know you can just not watch shows... At any time for any reason.
Hoping, even "half" hoping, that a show gets canceled (and people lose their jobs and actual fans lose a favorite show) just because you get tried of it is really, REALLY, weird and 'main character'ish.

I was half-hoping the series would not be renewed as I was getting tired of it. Since it'll be returning on USANetwork, I'll probably watch it anyway.
I'll also need to determine if I'll need to make any programming changes to my Xfinity X1 box for the channel change or if the X1 box will automatically find it on USANetwork whenever this show returns.
