MTV announced today that RuPaul's Drag Race has been renewed for a 17th season. The news comes on the heels of the 'Drag Race' franchise picking up 10 Emmy Award nominations, including RuPaul's ninth consecutive nomination for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program. Its post-show companion series 'Untucked' will also be back.
On the air since 2009, the award-winning series continues to be a strong performer. It spent its first eight years on Logo TV before moving to VH1 for the next six years. It has been on MTV since 2023.
Hosted by the titular drag icon, RuPaul's Drag Race sees contestants participate in various challenges, with critiques by a panel of judges, while trying to be the last one standing - and named America's Next Drag Superstar.
Look for Season 17 in early 2025.

@Mat, Wow that's just amazing, you can tell the gender and skin color (probably religious affiliation too!) of the previous reviewer just from their post, but you're not bias and not at all the same though. I enjoy seeing fragile SJW snow flakes get triggered and play psych head games to try and leverage their target. FYI, get some new material, that tactic works less and less on people these days.
