No Season 2 for the film adaptation.
September 16, 2024
It is being reported that Apple TV+ has cancelled Time Bandits after just one season. The news arrives less than a month after the fantasy adventure series wrapped its 10-episode run on the streaming service. While the show was well received by critics, it ultimately seemed to fly under the radar with viewers.
Adapted from the 1981 cult classic movie of the same name, the series follows an eccentric crew of bandits who transport through time and space on epic adventures, stumbling upon fascinating worlds of the distant past while seeking out treasure. Their newest recruit is an 11-year-old history buff named Kevin, who they depend on to shed light on each situation they encounter. Together, they set out on a thrilling quest to save the boy's parents - and the world.

I kind of wanted to watch this, but then I just also couldn't be bothered. So I'm kind of sad I didn't bother, but its not like Deadwood where I'm disappointed it didn't get renewed either.

It was ok but it refused to hire dwarfs who made the original both funny and different. I am watching it but the flavor is less funny and more dei .

No, because they were already in the movie. Don't know what your definition for a DEI hired actor/ress is, but I'll tell you mine: take an established character' race/sex/sexuality and change it to anything else just because. They are mostly doing it to white characters and for some reason redheads. Now, if nothing is established, it is OK for them to be whatever they want even if it looks forced and for "modern audience" (which it doesn't exist btw). Having said that, it this had nothing to do with the movie, that would've been another story, but it is basically the same premise of a "boy that meets a band of misfits that go around stealing things through time", but for some reason they went with regular people of different races and sex instead of dwarves. TBH if there is misrepresentation of a group anywhere and everywhere is dwarves, even have more screen time than them. I can name a bunch of and I'm pretty sure I know only two dwarves, DInklage and Davis, so yeah, missed opportunity to let them shine, the same with the new SnowBrown movie, instead of hiring real people they went CGI goblin mode. I'm pretty sure that if the the Willow show had focused on Willow instead of a bunch of kids we would've had a second season.

To anyone who watched the whole season, does at least end without a cliffhanger? I’ve watched three episodes and would like to finish it if had a decent ending.

Dafok... wouldn't dwarves be considered DEI hires too?

If they really appreciated the source material they would've used dwarves like the original film, that was the charm, not a bunch of DEI hires as companions.
