The Wayans' comedy adds to its freshman run.

CBS announced today that Poppa's House has been given a full season pickup. Five additional episodes have been ordered to bring its total to 18 for the season. The news comes three episodes into the comedy's freshman run, which is off to a solid start for the network.
The series stars Damon Wayans as legendary talk radio host and happily divorced Poppa, who has his point of view challenged at work when a new female co-host is hired, and at home where he finds himself still parenting his adult son, played by his real-life son Damon Wayans Jr, who is a brilliant dreamer trying to pursue his passion while being a responsible father and husband.

I really wanted to like this show but it's just not funny. The writing is all over the place and it just feels forced. I'll continue to watch and hope it gets better because I do like the Wayans.

This show blows! Damon Wayans is no longer funny and his son is a nepo baby. I gave up on the neighborhood last year when the show focused less on Calvin and Dave as the main focus. At least the neighborhood is still kinda funny. Poppa's house is not!

I loved In Living Color and thought maybe the 2 would be super funny together.
They are not.

Keenen isn't funny and his voice with the highest pitch is so annoying.
I give this show a max 2 years.

I tried watching but am giving up on it. It just isn't funny. Hopefully getting picked up for full season will give it some time to hit its stride. I will come back to it if the reviews improve.

I like it and i'm happy that will see more epi. I'm a huge fan of Damon Wayans and even if it's not as funny as My wife and kids , it's still entertaining.

The bloopers at the end of each episode are funny. That's about it though. Hoping the show gets better but the first three episodes weren't strong.

This show sucks! The Neighborhood is not as funny as it was with the addition of the new baby. Poppa's house is just brutally bad! Who writes this crap? Worse, who thinks this is what people want to watch?

Wow! This show is terrible. SOSDD with the Wayans. Just not funny and they try waaaay too hard to get the laughs..
