Hallmark announced today that The Way Home is moving to its new streaming service, Hallmark+, for its upcoming third season. The drama was renewed for Season 3 back in March, but there was no mention of the move at the time.
A premiere date of January 2, 2025 was set for the new season, which will air on Hallmark+ exclusively. The exclusivity window is limited, however, as the show will make its way to its original home, Hallmark Channel, this fall.
The Way Home follows the story of three generations of women. 20 years ago, lifechanging events prompted Kat Landry to move away from her Canadian farm town of Port Haven, remaining estranged from her mother to this day. With Kat's marriage ending and having just lost her job, she decides to return home with her daughter after receiving an unexpected letter from her mom. After arriving at her family's farm, Kat realizes the reunion isn't what she had envisioned. As the three generations of women slowly work to find their footing as a family, they embark on an enlightening journey none of them could have seen coming as they learn how to find their way back to each other.
