Plans for a debut on Hallmark+ have been scrapped.

Hallmark has changed its mind about premiering the third season of The Way Home exclusively on Hallmark+. It was just two weeks ago that the network announced the drama would debut Season 3 in January on the streaming service, with Hallmark Channel not getting it until later in the fall.
Due to overwhelming demand from viewers, the show will now stay on Hallmark Channel for the first run of Season 3 starting on January 3. Hallmark+ will stream each episode the following day.

That's good news for my household. We were not going to pay more for a Hallmark+ app, when we're already paying via Xfinity. If we had to wait several months to see The Way Home, then so be it. Hallmark should put more into how its existing AppleTV app works and carry all of movies/shows longer or even forever.
I'd be willing to pay a little more if there was a commercial free option on its apps. Our household has reached its limit on our TV streaming costs.
