Hallmark Channel announced today that The Way Home has been picked up for a fourth season. The early renewal comes ahead of tomorrow's Season 3 finale.
"Our talented writing staff led by the mother-daughter showrunning team of Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke continues to amaze us as they raise the bar each season," said Samantha DiPippo, SVP Programming at Hallmark Media. "Their carefully crafted storytelling filled with family drama, romance and an absorbing mystery has enthralled the show's passionate fanbase and has made The Way Home appointment television."
The series follows the story of three generations of women. 20 years ago, lifechanging events prompted Kat Landry to move away from her Canadian farm town of Port Haven, remaining estranged from her mother to this day. With Kat's marriage ending and having just lost her job, she decides to return home with her daughter after receiving an unexpected letter from her mom. After arriving at her family's farm, Kat realizes the reunion isn't what she had envisioned. As the three generations of women slowly work to find their footing as a family, they embark on an enlightening journey none of them could have seen coming as they learn how to find their way back to each other.
