Paramount+ orders more of the Jeremy Renner drama.

Paramount+ announced today that Mayor of Kingstown has been renewed for a fourth season. The good news comes four months after the drama wrapped Season 3, which ranked as the streamer's #1 series during its run.
Created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, the series follows the McLusky family, who are power brokers in the business of incarceration, running for-profit prisons in Kingstown, Michigan. It is the only thriving industry in a town with a history of systemic racism, inequality, and corruption. Together they attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.

After season 3 wrapped up the Milo arc, I thought this show was done. It is not as good as The Wire, which switched gears in season 4, but I like this show a lot. Let's see where it pivots now. Maybe in the next season it pits Mike vs. Bunny? That would be very interesting. Bunny is the best grey area character since Omar Little.
