CBS announced today that Tracker has been renewed for a fourth season. The early pickup comes midway through Season 3, which will return from its winter hiatus on March 1. The show has continued its strong performance in Season 3, ranking as the #1 show on broadcast television.
Based on the novel 'The Never Game' by Jeffery Deaver, the series follows Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist who traverses the country as a reward seeker. He uses his expert tracking skills to assist private citizens and law enforcement in solving all kinds of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family.
Look for Season 4 of Tracker this fall as part of the 2026-2027 broadcast season.

The show so far has been good, but it's a real question if it has the legs to go a long distance. CBS keeps tinkering with a winning formula. Characters get written out or essentially recast. There's a long-running mystery with Shaw's father that is moving too slowly. Occasionally the show dips into cult or even occult stories.
This show is basically a remake of "Then Came Bronson" or even "Route 66" from the '60s. It even goes back to westerns. A mysterious stranger comes to town, cleans up a mess, and then moves on. These kinds of shows succeed for awhile, and even become hits, but eventually the sameness wears out their welcome.

Shaw probably doesn't know or care about the firearm carry laws, crossing state lines. Going into crime scenes, destroying evidence, and being a village auntie. What a load of nonsense.
