This procedural crime drama set in New York is a spin-off of the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Set in New York, this series follows the same blueprint as its parent show. The crime scene investigation team works to solve murders and various other crimes in New York City. The use of hi-tech crime solving techniques is often in the spotlight.

We really hate the season finale coming up for csi n.y.
They can't kill off Mac Taylor, he is one our favorites on the show. The show would not be the same with out him.
Also cbs is thinking abut axeing it; that would be a big mistake. We really love this show we never miss it.
And we get very mad whin it is not on. And we know that this show has,alot of fans that will be very mad if cbs cans this show; we will not let it be canned if the people have any thing to say about it! Because it is one of the best dramas left! And the fans love it ! Even more than CSI 1 ! So we do not want to see it cancelled ! It better be renewed this fall!

Glad to see this show has been renewed for its eighth season. I had heard that it had been cancelled. But I guess thay gave the show another chance. Good job. Happy Happy. Will be waiting for the eighth season to begin in a few months. Joanne

I hope this is not the end for this series. The story line flows well and we need good shows on Friday night. The pickings are very thin on Fridays as far as anything not reality based. Sometimes we get enough reality in our own lives so we need shows that make us think, not groan!

Very good story line for this 8th season. Great lead in for my favorite show Blue Bloods. So why is CBS seeking to kill both with Dr House/Welby/Mother Teresa, meets the Ghost Whisper with the time change? [The badly acted MD has the arrogance of House, the bedside concerns of Welby, and the hamhanded social message of Mother Teresa.
