Richard Castle is a well known murder-mystery author who discovers that a murderer is killing people in the same fashions as described in his books.
Castle has just killed off his main character, however it appears as if one of his fans liked his books a bit too much when the murders are linked back to his novels. After questioning by police, Richard Castle joins forces with Detective Kate Beckett to solve the case.
Finding inspiration from his new partner, he starts to shadow her investigations, where he offers his knowledge to assist in solving other murders in New York City.

When Stana Katic leaves the show, there is no show? The Show is about both of them. If Nathan Fillion is such a great actor he could carry it off but I Think Stana is the real Star. I for one will see this season out and then consider the show ended. Renewal without her would be a waste off airtime.
Good work Kate I have loved the show from the beginning, would have preferred a happy ending for Kate but if that's how it is written so beit. This show is going to be like The Mentalist without Red John [Pointless]

Deadline Hollywood reported on April 18 that Stana Katic (Kate Beckett) will not be returning for season 9. Her departure could be the "Jump the Shark" moment for the show.

The show could be saved but they have to go back to what made great in the first place. The relationship between Beckett and Castle. It was a great love story. They could save it by bringing that relationship back. Get her out of the Captain's office and back with Castle. If they don't do that it is not worth saving. I personally think this season is a lost. I am pissed about that because I loved the show. There have been several successful shows with a husband and wife and it could happen here as well if someone really cares.

While I enjoy Castle a lot, I think it needs to end next season if not this season. It feels like they are reaching a bit much and even Stana is wondering what's left for her character. When a main actress is wondering what's left for my character, it might be time to think about ending the show while it's still on a high note, then let it slip and end while it's on the out.

I have all the great Richard Castle novels published so far. I am given to believe that there will be at least two more Castle novel's published and for sale to the public before the series ends. Get them now before there's an increase in prices, and before they discontinue publishing them. I have two copies (back ups) of EACH novel in the event of loss of some kind. Expensive but worth it.
