A reality series following children in competitive dance along with their mothers.
Dance Moms focuses cameras on children's early steps on the road to stardom - with their doting mothers in tow, who show up for each and every rehearsal and performance.
Dance instructor Abby Lee Miller runs the school and instructs the young and talented dancers, as the spotlight focuses on the highs and lows surrounding competitive dance and the pursuit of national titles.
As hard as it is, the students also must deal with their passionate mothers who will go to any length to help their child's dream come true.

She treated ALL of them girls awful. Why did it take the "race card" to pull her show? Everyone knows Abby is not raciest. She's mean to them ALL. She called a little white girl "Road Kill" she's called them "Lazy Slugs" with "Pathetic Feet". She was cruel to them ALL! And BTW the Black Woman that took the money to put her daughter on the show just for the "Sprinkle" of the group, should be just as ashamed!

WOW, what a season that just ended. I had hoped (foolishly) that after all Abby had been through she would come out a better person, a better and kinder teacher, and a more patient human being. WRONG -- she was ridiculously mean this season -- and I really think this show went out of its way to get the worst mothers they could find. They were bullies and frankly acted quite nuts most of the time. This season surprised anything from the past and I'm done. I don't need to watch playground antics with grown women, and a well-paid teacher who speeds off when and leaves a competition when someone says something she doesn't like. Grow up, Abby!

I think the amount of revenue the students and show bring in is a large enough number as to have enough financial reason to continue the show. And with the virtually overflowing waiting list of over 10,000 people wanting to be on the show it's not like there is any rush to find participants. And the Abby Lee Dance Company is a worldwide name and has a huge commitment to uphold, I doubt the show will be ending any time soon. And there have been sneak-peek trailer of original dancer Chloe Lukasiak returning to the show, which will bring a lot of old viewers back.
