A drama following the flight crew of Pan American World Airways during 1963.
Welcome to the Jet Age, where passenger airplanes fly people across the world at 30,000 feet. Air travel embodies luxury, and Pan Am is the Number One name in the business thanks to its fancy plans, studly pilots, and gorgeous stewardesses.
But it takes more than just good looks to represent this airline. The Pan Am crew has to be educated, refined, and cultured. They are trained to handle anything and everything that can happen in-flight. And in Pan Am, anything and everything does.

Pan Am should be given a second season. It was entertaining and interesting. It was wonderful that we could see a program that made travelling to foreign countries a pleasure. I think that viewers should give it a chance for a second season.

VERY UPSET! This was a very entertaining show and very well done! Showed how life was back then and how the times were changing. This show made the Pan Am Stewardess Outfit the most popular Halloween Costume this year! Why would they cancel such a great show!? I see that a couple of the stars have already been signed on for different shows which only proves that this was canceled. :-( Maybe ABC should have picked an earlier time slot for this show so that it would have gotten more viewers or a different day. 10pm on Sunday might have been what killed the show...not the content. I LOVED watching this!

Why??? This show gives a very interesting perspective of the 1960's, and just how life was back then. I am only in my 40's and really enjoyed this show, along with Playboy Club and Chicago Code, which were also cancelled. I think that shows from earlier decades can be informative, but NOT boring if done well. Maybe the kids nowadays could learn like what life was really about. Not these reality shows, and video games, etc. It is about family time!!!

I cannot believe shows like "Jersey Shore" get renewed and shows as entertaining as Pan Am get cancelled. I'm so tired of watching good shows, good writing, actors I like, great locations, getting cancelled, what are you people nuts or what, seriously ABC, cancelling a show like Pan Am that made my Sunday evening something to look forward to, oh well back to Mad Men.

I so agree with Joe D. ABC is quickly becoming THE network for reality TV garbage. They keep canceling high quality scripted shows who employ large casts and crews to save money with replacement reality shows built on cheap sets and small budgets. It's exactly what's wrong with the American economy. Knowing full well what ABC/Disney charges for admission to just one day at an amusement park, they could pay for the park costs plus contribute towards quality television that does not insult the viewer. I can't watch one minute of ABC Daytime television - aside from my local news.

WHY?!!!!!! Really didn't see that one coming! A classic in the making. Really fantastic show. One of the best in recent years. Beats mad men by miles.

Pam Am, was a show designed with a very good taste, very entertaining, you can really learn about what happened 50 years ago, specifically the quality of the service of the airlines 50 years ago. I do really believe that is the main reason it was cancelled, they don't want people to remember. I have a friend that is stewardess, I asked her about how strict the airlines are with the appearance and education and qualification of the their workers and she mentions it used to be in that way but not anymore, now it is not even close.

ABC had a great idea with Pan Am, i was hooked from the previews of it to start the season...Then i watched it and it was total crap, all the careful detailing of getting the uniforms right, and having a good cast of women was ruined by a spy theme. The plot was unbelievable and the writing was horrid. New it wouldn't be long before it was gone.
