A crime thriller following a former CIA agent who is hired by a mysterious billionaire who has a state-of-the-art machine that predicts future crime victims.

Reese is a presumed-dead ex-CIA agent who teams up with a mysterious billionaire named Finch. Together they are on a mission to prevent violent crimes using their own brand of justice.

Reese is trained in covert operations and Finch is a software genius who invented a program that uses special pattern recognition to identify people about to be involved in violent crimes. Together, they work outside the law and unravel the mystery of the 'person of interest' and stop each crime before it happens.

Episode 411 aired 1/15 was horrible. This was a great series the first two years but now it is just stupid. Difficult to follow and was not entertaining.

I don't want this show to end. It's a good show should last at least 10 seasons like NCIS. Love this show please don't cancel it. I hate all this reality crap that on these days!!! Leave POI on the air.

Well, I like the show's new direction.
Samaritan, the "machine"'s evil twin, allows us to see Finch's worst fear: an all-powerful out-of-control computer system that can end human civilization.
The team still gets its numbers, its victims to save, but must work even more covertly and carefully than before.

What the hell is wrong with Hollywood these days. Last year this was one of my wife and my favorite...
The show started out with the goal of saving mankind, and killing the bad guys.
Now this Milquetoast piece of garbage has become so PC John is shooting everyone in the foot, including himself.
And, how many of you are impressed with the fact this team who was out to save the world using the "machine" now has a group who is just as powerful, trying to kill them? I repeat....What the hell is wrong with Hollywood these days?
My wife voted to remove it from the DVR schedule this week, think I will give it one or two more.

This was my favorite show until ROOT. Shaw could pull of this character but not the actress they have now. She acts robotic, wooden no personality. Are we to believe with no training she can walk, shooting with 2 hands, hitting all the bad guys and never get hit? This character and plot-line is ruining a great show. Go back to saving people and remove the Root character and the government intrigue.

Here in England we have just finished Season 2 of Person of Interest - I love it - the concept - the acting and the cast - all phenomenal - I have always like Jim Caviezel since Passion of Christ and Count of Monte Christo - like so many others he is an extremely underrated actor - please keep POI going for at least 10 seasons! if they can do it with NCIS they can do it for POI!

I have loved this show from the first episode. Very well-written with superb acting, with "heroes" who really come across as possibly "real", you know what I mean? None too strange, or with abilities too outside of normal human abilities, but ones you really believe will get the job done when the chips are down!
I was afraid that the show was over, and very depressed about that...please do not end this true gem!!! We need something good and intelligent and witty and fun to watch...(too bloody much "reality programming" on these days - where's the escape from reality?).

Take the story line back some - this year wasn't the best.

This show has gone from the sublime to the ridiculous. Need to take notes on new characters thrown into the mix. POI has outlived its story line.
