A crime thriller following a former CIA agent who is hired by a mysterious billionaire who has a state-of-the-art machine that predicts future crime victims.
Reese is a presumed-dead ex-CIA agent who teams up with a mysterious billionaire named Finch. Together they are on a mission to prevent violent crimes using their own brand of justice.
Reese is trained in covert operations and Finch is a software genius who invented a program that uses special pattern recognition to identify people about to be involved in violent crimes. Together, they work outside the law and unravel the mystery of the 'person of interest' and stop each crime before it happens.

Just finished the hoped for delayed satisfaction of watching the last two episodes of Season 4. But alas! No gratification after four seasons of loyalty to a show with a great concept that's been ruined. I can hardly express my disappointment. Two years of failure to turn back Samaritan is enough. And in the process turning Harold into self-doubting whiny geek. I'm tired of the bad guys winning! Tired of good characters and story structure being shot to hell. If I want that, I'll just watch Games of Thrones, which I abandoned after last season. So if POI returns for Season 5, they need to end the dystopian drift into Illuminati land in the 1st episode. Else I won't be there for the last.

This is still my favorite show on TV! Please come back next season!! The good vd evil in the form of questioning what an AI might do to society is more thought provoking than most shows. It is totally unreasonable how many binds the heroes get out of... But we love to see our heroes have super powers!

This show has gotten boring and ridiculous. Nothing but violence - especially the female characters. I liked this show in the beginning, but since Joss was killed off the shows has gone down hill. My husband still watches but I'm over it!

Well, I finally took this off my list. Loved the show before but finally said if the word "Samaritan" or "Root" appears, I will change the channel and definitely not record. So here is Root "saving the day" with a gas mask and shooting the bad guys and staying oh so cool and making quips. Who the heck is she supposed to be? She wasn't CIA, just some computer geek nerd who has somehow turned into Wonder Woman? I changed the channel and no more Person of Interest for me. I totally agree with Sage and several others. Hollywood, start paying attention to VIEWERS!

Root is the reason I stopped watching this show midway through the third season. It was too aggravating to watch her manipulate everybody, episode after episode, and get away with it.

I agree with Kaiie. Love the show, hate Root. What a horrible character. I hope she is killed off every episode. Please go back to saving people and forget the confusing and boring story line.
