A drama where prisoners who mysteriously vanished from Alcatraz decades ago reappear in the present.
Rebecca is a San Francisco police detective who discovers that a fingerprint found on a homicide victim belongs to a former Alcatraz prisoner who died decades in the past.
When she runs into resistance looking into her discovery, Rebecca turns to an expert on Alcatraz prison to help her piece together the mystery that is slowly unraveling.
Their investigation reveals that the prisoner in question is actually still alive and loose on the streets of San Francisco. What's more, is that he may not be the only prisoner from Alcatraz to reappear in the present.

Finally a show with a great plotline and amazing acting! So, of course, it must be cancelled! Keep the moronic/pedophile-pleasing "Glee" and "The X-Factor" and cancel "Alcatraz." I guess that's supposed to make sense to the idiots in the board room at Fox.

I'm still pist that the network cancelled this one so fast! And, what makes it even worse...after getting hooked on such a great show...we are just left hanging!!! Really, why get involved anyway!!!!!

Bring Alcatraz back and dump some of those awfull reality shows. Hopefully a decent network like FX will pick it up

WOW that sucks. I really liked that show. I hate when they do those cliff hangers and then cancel the show and you never know what happened

The Axe all the intelligent shows that require thinking..Keep the stupid reality ( did u see her boobs and will The Batchelor marry her) who gives damnn..You just know when they say will return blah blah blah some..time soon..It isn't gonna happen..OMG Kardashian's nips showed...wooo hee...Gina Davis as the president..downton abby may be back for a few teasers..guess its what the horsd of TV clickers want...kinda like the news..i pcik mine for intelligent reading and all....

I have posted on this site previously regarding the cancellation of this great show and two things come to mind today. First of all, today is the Blu-ray release date for the first, final and only season of this great show. Secondly; with all the 231 comments and counting from those who love this show; are our concerns being sent to the executives at FOX television? I certainly hope so as the people seem to have spoken; lets just hope their comments are not left on deaf ears and FOX wakes up and gives this show another chance to gain momentum and live to see another day!

figures another great show cancelled!!!! pretty soon you will have nothing of interest to watch on your network! Who made the bone head decision to cancel it? they should be fired!!
