IF A&E executives were fed incessant unscripted shows, laden with nonsensical shouting women, they'd be PRAYING for an intelligent show like Longmire to fill even the oddest time slots, as was done last year. The myopic number crunchers might do some recalculations; we've already attained our college, masters and Phd degrees, with enough disposable income to anything anytime. We are still the boomers of our century who can afford a Dodge Ram! Don't be as stupid as your unscripted 'reality' shows are, banal, classless and unlistening. Longmire was a welcome break. And we don't shout, maybe that's why you missed us watching. A&E used to stand for Arts & Entertainment. Let's go back to that.

Were the executives at A&E born stupid, or just grow up that way? Dodge Ram was a big sponsor of Longmire. Funny, my car is 10 years old and I'll be looking for a replacement in the next year or so. Guess what, it won't be a Chrysler product. NPR had a segment on the cancelling of Longmire. Number two rated show and cancelled because the demographics were centered around 60 year old people. Never mind that 60 year olds have 75% of the nations disposable income. Maybe I should have started this by asking if the advertisers were born stupid. My guess is a resounding YES! I really hope another network will pick it up. Their advertises will have my loyalty.

I just can't believe it. I love this show and I have turned so many people onto it. How can they leave us loyal viewers hanging like this! Maybe I'll stop watching Walking Dead. It's so predictable. I'm going to start
Reading the Longmire books.

Unbelievable! I am 33 and loved my quiet Monday nights with Longmire. The show wasn't trash like to much that is on TV now. It was something that my daughter could be in the room with and not have to worry about her seeing or hearing to much. It is a good show. Someone pick it up please.

I'm in shock, absolutely cannot believe a&e cancelled Longmire. Who's bright idea was that? Feeling irritated and disgusted. Praying another network picks it up or that a&e chances their mind

That's just great! Leave us hanging. How will we find out who shot who. Who made this stupid decision to cancel the show? One of my few favs.

Will miss this modern western. TV IS getting tiresome. With all those eye-ball farmers focusing on the interests of the 35 and under, we are left with the non-intellectual, mindlessness of the reality show. There seems to be less and less for the thinking man or woman to watch. Every season more and more good stuff disappears. Sure hope some other content provider will take up this series.

A&E needs to change their name to T&G- Trash and Garbage! Longmire was the only show I watched on your channel!! It was the only show worth watching on A&E!! Thanks now I never have to turn to this channel again!! As for watching anything else on A&E never, you've done this to me twice now, you don't get a third chance!! Bye bye T&G!!! I hope another network picks up this GREAT show!! Loyal to this great cast and the great stories of this great show!!

I agree with everything said on this page regarding the Longmire series being quality entertainment. Sad. Maybe someone will pick it up. A&E cancelled the only reason I watch their programming...

Someone hit the nail on the head... A&E doesn't want to provide programming for anyone over 35 years old. This explains the crap reality TV programming that is everywhere. I have news for A&E and their sponsors. It's people over 35 that keep the economy running. Longmire was a quality show and as far as I know, the only show that provides some insight into the lives of Native Americans. In a world cluttered with reality TV, cop & lawyer shows, medical shows, teen dramas, vampire spin-offs (I don't get that)and sports 24/7, this was the only modern western.
