A comedy following a gay couple who start a family with the help of a single mother who becomes their surrogate.
Bryan and David are a Los Angeles couple who have it all - with one exception: a baby. When they meet Goldie - a young single mother looking to leave behind her dead-end life and closed-minded grandmother - they enlist her to become their surrogate.

It should be canceled. It's ratings are poor and the content of the show truly doesn't have any descent social redeeming value.

I love the new normal and thet fact that there is nothing like it on tv.To some people it might be controversial just because it is a gay couple but the point is to show that there is no difference between a gay and a strait couple.In every episode you are taught a lesson unlike some other shows on tv.I find Brian and David's relationship sweet and touching. In order for any community to survive there has to be tolerance. If we can accept rase and religion why not lifestyles. The fact that someone is homosexual does not make them anyless of a human being then anyone of any sexual oriantion, rase, religion,or ethnicity. I find everything to be normal because it is normal to them.

The episode aired on Tuesday, February 20, was really heart-breaking for dog-lovers. Question is, if they were immediately going to kill Harvey Milkbone, why did they introduce him in the first place? The powers-that-be on that show have just ruined it, in our opinion. The new normal was one of our favorite shows, but no more after what they did to Harvey Milkbone.

Yeah all this gay **** needs to stop. I want it where men would just sleep around with any woman they want and leave them to raise the children. Where are the good old fashion values of getting married whenever you want to in a drive thru chapel in Vegas. Stop trying to shove down my throat that homosexuals are just people trying to create lives like the rest of us and all they wanton to create a healthy family. I know all they want is to have children to shove down their throats their gay ideas and who knows what else. (No sarcasm at all)

this show is one of the best shows NBC has ever brought out because it relates to modern family and those of you who prefer to close your eyes from reality that is your fault. welcome to 2013. GO NEW NORMAL!!!!!

I'll be glad when it gets the axe, 'cuz then I'll go back to watching NBC, especially 'The Voice'. Until then I'll watch nothing on NBC. The title of the show is so offensive to those who actually are normal that I refuse to add to NBC's ratings, and therefore its revenues.

I didn't think I would like the gay stuff in it. But i watched it being open to laughter. It did the job! I think Nene's part is funny. And the little girl is off da chain too..I look at it like this people, I read the other comments before posting. And I agree with some of the other's. If you don't like it don't watch....It's funny though...Get a grip...But I did feel that the gayness was being shoved down our throat at first. But I look at from a different view now. Its entertainment & comedy. No more & no less...The gay lifestyle is here to stay. I just never thought I would see it on tv like that. And its not always about the gay guys either. the writing is great to me...Bring it back! I like to laugh!
