A sci-fi drama based on the Stephen King novel of the same name.
In the near future, the residents of Chester's Mill find themselves cut off from the rest of the world when a mysterious, impenetrable barrier surrounds their town. While panic fills the streets, a small group of people attempt to maintain order and uncover the truth behind the phenomenon - including how to escape from it.

Why did this show get green-lighted in the first place? It seems to me that something like this was done for "The Simpsons Movie" eight years ago. To quote "South Park" with respect to "Under the Dome", I say "'Simpsons' did it".

The show has some serious issues with actual things in reality. Other than that, it has all the other problems a SK story has.

I think this show is pretty awesome. It's different and always keeps me wanting to see what's going to happen next. I'm kind of glad that I didn't read the book because I have nothing to compare it to. I think a lot of the people who are hating on it have read the book and don't like that the show has changed it in many ways. I say then just watch it as something new and don't compare. You will definitely get more enjoyment out of it that way. Besides, how often does a movie or show ever really weigh in heavy against the book it was based on. Forget the book. Watch. Enjoy. And definitely bring it back for Season 3. 😃
