I love the show! I find myself holding my breath through most of it! Please bring it back!

Great science fiction, movie quality special effects and cinematography. I would love to see another season but CBS might shy away from the production costs. Still I can hope. I love this show.

the best science fiction series on tv in many years. I hope it is not canceled. the last episode could result in very interesting stories if series is allowed to have a second season.

I liked the arc of the show and the finale answered questions, but I really would like to see the show get a second season. Somehow the message I took away is the Aliens live in a much nicer place than Earth. Stranger danger is apparently not an issue with the Aliens!

Will you please say if extant is canceled or not .....all we see is extant canceled or renewed ....make up your minds and answer us !!!

I love Sci-fi series at least good ones and most of them are grounded and based around existing tech and this series does do part off that however the story line and Characters have a lot to be desired and has little grounding around real life. First all I hate when they try to spice up a series with plots on top of plots unless they make sense and here they fail. Here we have on Aliens and terrorist which I guess no one can call the cops / Government or dream police about and never mind about the body count along the way by Alien. One would think that unless companies run the USA or any country in the future that there would be some kind of agency close monitoring the kind of stuff after all just think if they were mining and did opp’s we lost control of an asteroid that will now impact the earth and wipe out millions can you say good luck in court after?? Also one thing I learned about NASA and the American space program and even the Russian space programs they have back up plans and insurance to deal with all kinds of emergencies which now include dealing with Alien contact, I am sure shooting down their own space craft and maybe even now shooting into deep space, since they learn from the past that the hard way after Skylab did not burn up completely even though they did a control crash a big part came down intact.
Ok next we have women that cannot let go of the past and still think way too much about a dead boyfriend “trust me I get the idea but I find people like this don’t get married again usually” and I don’t know too many men or even women that would put up with this since in this character keeps treating her spouse like crap. Also she is so busy trying to find here space baby again just blowing off her family, the funny thing here if you think about it she was basically “Space rape” by and Alien and is not in shock or mad about this in the aftermath. Plus if they know about this contact on the ground they would have put her in a box for months if not year’s after the contact. Also think that there would only be one DNA since last time I checked we are flesh and blood and considering no fluid was exchanged the Alien was some type of energy Alien so how the DNA changes??? Last time I checked Energy does not have DNA of any kind but I guess we can let that slide.
I also love the fact that she goes from Astronaut to spy / agent and I love the fact she can go up elevators with her high heal sandal shoes.
I can go on and on about the garbage I see here but I figured I said enough. The sad thing is that I found most good to great sci-fi series have to have some kind of foundation based on not just technology but actual people and science and how people really act in the world and although the tech might be believable here everything else is garbage from the story to each character. I think this was supposed to only last a year since it is “lost in TV space” here. I like the launch the writer and actors into deep space after this abortion “Just wishful thinking here”.
I am waiting for the part where we find her current husband murmured the old boyfriend to have her or wait maybe the space baby become part of the family and all the other aliens come to earth and we have epic battle tracking them all down. Why not since this just sucks and you can't make it much worst.
I think Defiance is a better series to a point although I noted a theme here as well and only 10 episodes and again plots within plots.. Ok not going to review or give my 2 cents here but to some point I like this better than Extant

"Extant"(CBS) & another show came about the same time & I ended up switching back & forth. Then the other show just didn't seem as funny as it was made out to be, so I settled into "Extant" & saw that it had improved from when I 1st started watching. So, now I am waiting for the last 2 episodes before deciding if I want to see a 2nd season.

Please do not cancel one of the best new shows on TV, we many not fall into the 19 to 49 however,Extant is one of the best new Science Fiction/ mystery/ dramas on television these days. It never fails that as soon as we start enjoying a show they pull it off the air. Serenity, Intelligence, Almost Human, heck the list could go on. We have started to think we jinx the good shows as they only last a short while. Hopefully if one of the major three networks pull the plug someone will pick up the series. My friends and I always seem to get invested in shows only to have them disappear. With the median age group of television views increasing networks should take into account that there are more of us over 49 and more baby-boomers that watch tv then the younger generation. It is nice to watch series with less violence and excellent writing. I am not saying we do not enjoy CW and MTV but CBS, NBC and ABC need to give these show more than a few episode change and remember there are a lot more people now days that stream shows,only because their time slots are always moved around and they are harder to find.

Me and my friends love this show. It is full of sci fi and mystery. We want to see the child. We want to know more about the mysteries within. Please give it a chance to shine. I especially love Ethan. He is the one I believe who can make the difference in saving Molly. My 2 sense worth.

DAVID I do understand our history and your right with how we humans can get power hungry and love to fight and try to run the world. But I'm looking at this as a totally different species I'm not looking at our history thinking if we are like this wouldn't ET be too. I mean you could be right but I don't think some other form of life who would be wired differently brain wise means they have to be like us. So I think there are many different ET' s out there and some may have bad agendas and others may just want to explore and find out about other life in the universe. So I don't think we can use our history to say how another race of species might be. Because I believe we have been visited here never saw anything personally but I do believe contact has been made. And if that is a possibility than why haven't they taken over. I will say David I do understand were you are coming from but unless there are other humans out there just living on different worlds we can't assume that they think the way we do or that there history would be similar to ours. And back in onto this show the technology is awesome. The humanics Has such potential to see where that goes in this show. It's just a Fantastic Show and it needs to continue. I could see this series on for years. So please keep this show on. Evan if the alien was captured there r so many other things going on. Even studying it. Maybe even Ethan can help it. Who knows I just know it must continue.
