A drama following an NYPD detective balancing the demands of her day job and her family.
Laura Diamond is a New York homicide detective who is doing her best to balance her work with her home life as a single mother, which includes two disobedient kids and a soon-to-be ex-husband who is also a cop - and her boss.
Her life can get pretty crazy as a modern-day working mom, but she makes it work with help from her understanding partner.

Horrible show incredibly bad hackneyed writing. It's as if every bad cliche ever seen on TV is stuffed into a five pound bag along with ten pounds of manure and spews out every week. The only spark in this dismal morass is Kahyun Kim who deserves a better shot at success.

I see this as an offbeat dramedy with an emphasis on the comedy and Messing's wacky but competent mom/cop character. It all depends on how well the writers can continually pull off the quirkiness, because there are a lot of competing straight cop shows out there.

Worst show I've seen in a while. Writing is bad, stereotypical roles for a bad female cop show, and premise is completely used up. Nothing original or worth watching, didn't finish the first show. Cancel now

The description should really be changed to a comedy, when I watched it I honestly thought I was watching a parody of the cop shows that were on tv. Really the first episode is basically to set up for the description given above of the show.
Honestly I would be surprised if this lasts a full season. I think the show pretty much has shown everything its got in the first episode and that's not good since now it will just be recycling things. She's got a husband that doesn't want to leave her even though he's the one who cheated and oh look at that now he's her boss despite working for a different prescient before hand my guess is so they wouldn't have to see each other at work. She's got twin boys from hell that are most likely going to be kicked out of this PreK to and oh no now they'll have to find somewhere else to put them because no one can handle these children.
The list goes on, and honestly I've seen better shows cancelled for less. If this show makes it past 5 episodes I will be surprised.

1. She's a slob.
2. They played the kids from hell card way too often.
3. Why is the husband even in there?
4. The editor: Related to the editor in Taxi Brooklyn.
5. Just for the hell of it.....I'll watch next week.
