Just started watching this on Netflix Canada.
4 episodes in, really hope it gets better.
Good premise, I really like that its different - but feels flat overall. Delivery lacking.
Please director, get it together for season 2 this could be a really good one.

Absolutely flabbergasted me when this was renewed. The production values (acting, story, premise, directing, etc, etc) are so insipid, I think it may qualify as the Missing Link bridging the gap between scripted TV and reality TV.

I considered reading the book before watching the TV show which is like any other show or movie based on a book, it always disappoints. So I'll read it after it's over, it has been pretty good show from beginning to end for this season. I am more than prepared not to read the book if CBS has the brains to bring it back. Unfortunately that rarely happens, granite CBS is much better at keeping shows on with intellect then ABC ever does. So I guess it stays on my bookshelf to find out which move goes where. Personally I hope the animals win between the animal species humans are the ones that need to be thinned out.

The idea of this TV show is great and has a lot of potentials. However, acting and directing ruined all of it.
Acting is not just bad, it is just horrible, dreadful, amateurish, and whatever negative description can come into your mind. I really have no idea what would be the difference between anyone who never practiced acting before, and any of the main characters in that TV show.
A lot of loopholes exist in many scenarios. I do not want to give examples in case someone reading this has not seen the show yet. Simply, I remember saying "hey c'mon! what's wrong with you. No way!. This is absurd", while watching the show!.
One more thing. What would a group do in a catastrophic event when danger surrounds them everywhere? Yeah let'us have some fun and some drinks, and talk like nothing is happening. Yeah, cheers, while a jaguar is hiding in the room next to us and we know that!
I said acting is horrible, but this " Jackson Oz" is the worst of the worst. This "smiley" guy ruined every single scene he was in, and caused me lose my concentration. For starters, his friend just died, and he's smiling, and almost seems laughing!. He's talking about something tragic, and yet he's smiling and about to laugh. He is in danger and running away from whatever beasts around all of the place; yeah, he is still smiling!.
I really don't know why other actors can be sidelined trying to seize an opportunity that they may never get in their life, while some mediocre actors can easily get a chance that they never deserved in the first place. If a director is not able to spot that in their auditions, then this director either favored them for whatever reason, or he/she is just horrible in his work.
With different "talented" actors, scenarios without loopholes, and a better director, we would have watched a great TV show. Yet, we can watch this one and we can be entertained; however, we will feel bugged all the time for the issues that mentioned above.

Didn't think we'd like it, but we're really enjoying it. Hope it doesn't hit the chopping block.

Thinly disguised anti-business and animal rights propaganda. The premise is ridiculous, the characters uninteresting and the execution simply silly. One episode was all I could take. Eeeeeeeevil corporations seek economic profit by killing off their customers? Sophomoric drivel. Patterson: give up the nonsense and write more mysteries.
