A political drama following a Cabinet member who is appointed President after a deadly attack on the Capitol.

After a deadly explosion kills the President and members of the Cabinet on the night of the State of the Union address, the nation is suddenly left without a Commander in Chief.

Tom Kirkman, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, had been named the designated survivor and is therefore the next in the chain of command. He is promptly sworn in as President, though he has no way of knowing that the catastrophic attack was only the beginning of a much larger plan.

It's ridiculous that this got canceled. Doesn't anybody pay attention to what people really like, Just not the snobby people but real life, everyday people.

I think this was one of the best series on tv. I’m truly disappointed it was canceled and hope that another station picks it up.

The Crossing AND Designated Survivor cancelled? What is left to watch on ABC? Guess it's on to FOX and CBS. This puts ABC up there with NBC. Not much to brag about. Sorry for the insults but when you take away my favorite shows, you have made a mistake in my opinion that lets my fingers do the walking on the remote to find other shows to watch elsewhere. Better wake up before you lose all your audience, unless that has already happened.

What in the world is wrong with ABC? I can understand cancellation of badly rated shows, I can even put up with ABC execs political stands, as long as there is an on/off switch on my TV, but what I cannot understand or accept is the cancellation of one of the best, intriguing and superb acted shows on air in recent times. No reason, no explanation, just some faceless money hungry ABC exec deciding they wanted to cancel the show. Yet, they leave some absolute rubbish on air? Is it because they feel they have to pander to the under 30's and forget that there are many of us 'baby boomers' out here in TV land that actually like well written scripts, great acting, and thought provoking plots? SHAME ON YOU ABC!!!

Absolutely unbelievable that a show this compelling, witth as much quality writing as it brought to the table, would be cancelled. Wow ABC you are blowing it...

We looked forward to this show ever week. Many people at work started watching because we told them how good it is. WHY are you cancelling this show! Please reconsider. We are so disappointed.

I am very disappointed that ABC has cancelled DS and Quantico two shows that are not filled with stupidity, and you leave on shows that leave nothing to the imagination. Get it together and keep these shows on . look at Law and Order DS and Quantico have more of a story line Shame Shame.

One of the few shows that my husband and I watch together. IF you were going to cancel it why did you have him announce that he was running for another term. Hopefully Netflix will keep it going for another season or two. Need to find out what was going on with Emily. Watch very few shows on ABC now one less.

How and why would you cancel a show that showed so much as far as what goes on behind closed doors in Washington. So interesting and we never missed the show. Kiefer was awesome as the President and all the others involved in the show were really great as his support staff.
Don't cancel this! We Americans need this!
