They lost a whole lot of fans when David Duchovney decided to open his mouth and bash the President. Just do your damn job and entertain people they don’t want or need to be insulted by degenerate, rich, elitist, overgrown children who play pretend for a living.

UPDATE 5/14/18: Deadline has reported that Fox currently has no plans to bring The X-Files back for another season. Fox president of entertainment Michael Thorn said during a call that while The X-Files has “been a great show for the network,” “there are no plans to do another season at the moment.”

great news on the pickup. Which will continue the storyline from 2016. I don't think they looked tired. people age, they don't look the same sad to say. I hope they do ten episodes instead of six. David's show was cancelled so he can do mere X files now,

Well, it looks they will be back with season 11 in 2018 and they are spinning in a new cast, eventually.. To Jim Davis: Yup, although I wasn't too sold on the new agents they picked; still good though. Personally, I would love to see Justin Theroux and Mary Elizabeth Winstead take over the X-Files.

@ Mel - I agree! It's too bad Weatherly didn't pick up the lead in a new X-Files instead of the unlikeable Bull, which just doesn't work for me. But we're not calling the shots unfortunately.

Being a real X-Files fan it was really disappointing to watch this new Season
Mulder didn't have his heart in it at all and played it very tongue in cheek so it spoilt the whole series for me
Would have been better with new characters than have the old ones crucify the show the way they did.

This was okay.. I think they could do much better if they had more time. We don't even need Mulder and Scully much anymore. I say it's time for a new X-Files team of 5 or more agents.

I loved this show years ago and I love it now. I REALLY hope that this show stays on the air because it is one of the few that I stop everything to watch.
