In this re-imagining of the timeless brand, Vanessa Helsing, daughter of the legendary vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing, is the last hope for human survival in a world controlled by vampires.
Vanessa unknowingly awakens to learn that she has a unique blood make-up that immunizes her against vampires and gives her the ability to turn a vampire into a human. With this newfound weapon, Vanessa becomes a prime target for the vampires while fighting to save humanity.

At first I didn't think I'd like it but I did... so I hope they don't cancel it because it seems like every shows that I like gets cancelled on me...

I watched it.. And it was horrible. But I kept going. And actually, by the eighth episode, things got better and better and I was actually looking forward to watching it! So don't give up on it till the eighth episode!!!

On the 2nd episode and haven't decided whether it's worth my time but after reading the comments on here I'm confused why Syfy would renew it unless the ratings were "decent" enough"...they cancel 'Hunters' but keep a show that has relations like this...yeah definitely confused!

I can't stop watching the show! Not to say that's a good thing- I have dedicated time into watching the series and I'm hoping it will get better. The main characters they just seem to not cut it - the ones that seem to be rounded out more get killed off. The main character who apparently is a hybrid is very weak minded and very dramatic in scenes that don't need to be dramatic. I feel like its in a tween aged soap opera with vampires.

I watched the Pilot episode and I can honestly say they killed the entire Van Helsing Franchise in about 5 minutes. this show is just bad. Bad plot, bad actors, bad scenes. The entire show was shot in pretty much one large room, and 2 hallways and an escalator. This show will not make it past the first 3 episodes.

this sucks already what a load of rubbish, u ruin the van helsing name and plot and set it in the future same old end of world stuff, if u had followed on from the movie line and had hugh jackman it would be monster, obviously hollywood has no ideas no descent writers just "churn it out" type stuff. when was the last series we had we said this is gonna be a classic...
