A comedy following an aspiring musician who unwittingly becomes the mayor of his town.
Courtney Rose is a young rapper looking for his big break. Tired of making beats in the bedroom closet of his inner-city apartment, Courtney decides to run for mayor of his California hometown as a publicity stunt to create some buzz to further his music career.
The only problem is he actually wins. With his plan gone awry, Courtney is now tasked with helping his struggling city with the help of his mother and close friends.

Starting watching it, but no longer do. Same old lame comedy that they chug out by the dozens these days. Don't waste your time.

Loved the first episode. Cute show. Hopefully Lea Michele won't get too annoying. Rest of the cast is great.

I don't get it. This idea would have been edgy in the 70s or maybe even the 80s. But in 2017? This isn't a really good hook. The Plopster doesn't see this lasting in today's market.
