OK, So I could not keep up with watching this from start to finish, but tuned into the end (last 3-4 episodes). It was really good! I got very tired of the flipping between 3 times (today, oil / land, native american). BTW, I actually *watch*, I don't flip between phones and computers / etc. Anyway, I think it is worthy of 4-5 stars. Very well done!

Love this show - it’s very well done with great writing and a compelling storyline. The acting is superb and settings and filming superb. I was really looking forward to season two and now I find out it has been canceled can’t figure that out. I’ve watched the first two episodes of season two now and it’s wonderful! So sorry to see it go.

I loved this show. The son was exceptionally produced and acting superb. I don’t understand how the Son could be cancelled. It is hard to like television anymore. When you come across such a good show and it is cancelled without reason it is maddening. Maybe another network or streaming service can pick it up.

I enjoyed The Son despite the age issue. The characters and their separate story lines made it interesting to follow. Looking forward the season 2!

Yesh, it's television. Obviously you people never watched a soap opera.

The age of the main character doesn't add up, do the math. Pierce Brosman does not look 80 years old. Geez,he apparently doesn't even need Viagra. That said, I find the show interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing it develop.

My biggest issue with the show is the patriarch's age. If the young Eli was let's say 15 in 1849 that would make him 81 in 1915. I'm not buying into that scenario. There are many othe issues that I have with this story, but that is the most glaring.
