A Western noir following two 1970s Navajo police officers whose spiritual beliefs are challenged during a murder case.
In 1971 on a remote outpost of the Navajo Nation, Tribal Police Officer Joe Leaphorn is dealing with a double murder case. But the closer he gets to the truth, the more he exposes the wounds of his past.
Joining him in the investigation is his new deputy Jim Chee, who has old scores to settle from his youth on the reservation. Together, they must challenge their own spiritual beliefs while battling forces of evil on the path to salvation.

Brushface: The first season only had 6 episodes also. It's a shame this seems to be the trend for dramas lately. Definitely a great second season, with a wonderful ending, but wouldn't have minded 10 episodes!

Too bad there are the skeptical comments that are most likely true. But this is a great show. But the 2nd season only had 6 episodes. That was very disappointing. Hope there's a season 3 on AMC.

So I was going to watch the first episode (Keith wrote the actor is good - I didnt see Longmire) it's 6:45 pm and it started at 6pm on AMC so I may have missed it for now. And I see the first two episodes have already long ago aired on AMC+. I think AMC is setting people up meaning they'll pull it from AMC at some point. One can't be sure with these chicken shoup outfits,

That reservation police chief is the same actor as the chief from LONGMIRE. Zahn McClarnon
Longmire was a good show as well. Worth watching.

A Robert Redford version of Billy Jack, with less killing done.
Noah Emmerich as a burned-out FBI agent - that's a stretch :) Actually, the cast list a quite available. (No Keri Russell or Matthew Rhys.) I would probably watch but it looks like the story will take a long time to wind up, and by then, they'll likely "peacock it" to AMC+ which I ain't paying more for. So not worth the chance.
