A prequel to 'Supernatural' focused on Sam and Dean's parents.
Dean Winchester narrates this prequel from his perspective, telling the epic, untold love story of how his father John met his mother Mary.
Back from Vietnam, John has a strange encounter that leads him to trace his father's past. He crosses paths with Mary, a demon hunter who is also looking into the disappearance of her own dad.
As they work to uncover hidden truths about their families, John and Mary put it all on the line to not only save their love, but the entire world.

The twist in the last episode (S01E13) was nice and explained everything. Tied everything from Supernatural and the Winchesters together. As of this time the show is not cancel or confirmed for season 2, but it feels like they knew that there might not be another season, and there is also no need for one. They brought everything to a satisfying end with no open questions and no cliffhangers.

If this thing lasts another season it's only because of the Die Hard Supernatural fans who are desperately trying to clean onto something of the original series. It's cheesy, and it completely ruins the timeline of events and how things began as recalled in the time travel sequences of the original series.

Na this won't last. Be surprised to see it renewed. Cheesy acting and low budget and nowhere near the original supernatural series. Was looking forward to this but no it's not for me.

I was a true fan of Supernatural but cannot see myself watching this show. Does not match up with what we know from Supernatural. I can’t see this doing well t all.

I'll be really surprised if this lasts. I think they should have gone further back than Mary and John, nixed the Winchesters and just did some old west (unrelated) hunters. I'd be down to watch hunters hunting monsters with a backdrop of outlaws, bounty hunters, settlers, saloon girls, and Native Americans, etc.
