NBC will be expanding the live shows of its new hit singing competition The Voice starting Tuesday, June 7. The planned hour-long live performance shows will now extend to two hours thanks to the show's strong ratings performance thus far.

Dubbed as NBC's answer to American Idol, The Voice premiered late last month and has so far averaged a stellar a 5.3 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic over its first three airings. These numbers make it the top new series of the season in that category.

On June 7, look for the first 2-hour episode of The Voice from 9:00pm-11:00pm following America's Got Talent.
