The low-rated airline drama will end after 14 episodes.
November 29, 2011
When Pan Am was left off of ABC's midseason schedule two weeks ago, the writing was on the wall that the network was not planning to continue on with the series. Despite ABC's refusal to confirm the show's cancallation, things were not looking good for the low-rated drama.
Today, however, comes the final nail in the coffin. One of Pan Am's stars, Karine Vanasse, posted the following message on her Twitter account:
"Well, we received THE call, #PanAm is only coming back for one more episode after Christmas. But up to the end, we'll give it our all !"
Barring a miracle, Pan Am's days appear to be numbered. The show has five episodes left to air between now and early next year.

I am a big fan of Mad Men and shows that depict the early sixties, but this show just was not very good. I gave it a shot but just could not get into it. I am not surprised it was cancelled.

Oh, no! I'm not believing this! Pan Am, too? With all due respect, how does this happen when Amazing Race keeps getting renewed? I tried to watch Amazing Race once and they had a small person in the competition and they made a spectacle of it, showing how difficult it was for her to run! It seemed so dirty and exploitive. She was really giving it her all, but you could tell she was virtually being dragged by her larger partner. I will never forget it. It was disturbing. Now, Pan Am is gone. : (

this was a really good show. Unfortunately in this day and age, people aren't interested in the old times.. To me, I love everything about a tv show that depicts the airport daily life, or the birth of an airline. If this was hong kong, we would have seen a full 22 seasons of this show!! to those interested in seeing a show similar to this.. google: triumph in the skies. its in chinese, with english subs. It's about a airline.. and u get to see how they train pilots, air stewardess, airport daily life, etc.. its a combo of the show LAX and Pan Am. Pan Am will be surely missed by me. I do hope there will be a dvd.. cuz this is a show to remember!! i can seriously tell u other shows that were a bit disappointment like undercovers..hart of dixie...and pretty little liars.. sigh

Have to say I watched this show every week and I did try to like it but is was like a chore to have to watch it after I pvr'd it! It needed more of a story line and that doozy of a plotline that happened when the plane landed in Haiti in the last show aired was just a disaster, I mean why would a pilot land there during a takeover coup to try and find doctor!!
