NBC announced today that singing competition The Voice has been renewed for seasons 4 and 5. The news comes two weeks into the show's third season, where it has so far been averaging a solid 4.4 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic with over 12 million total viewers per episode.

For its fourth season, which is slated to return in spring 2013, The Voice is bringing in two new judges. Shakira and Usher will take their spots in the spinning chairs, replacing the departing Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green, who are expected to be back for season 5 in the fall.
