ABC has topped up the sophomore season of drama Scandal. The Shonda Rhimes-created series initially received an order for 13 second-season episodes, which was still up from the seven it aired during Season One.
Today's order should top up the current season to a full 22 episodes.

SORRY JUST SAW IT WAS 22 SHOWS BUT STILL IS IT RENEWED FOR NEXT YEAR AND IF NO ANOUNCEMENT AS OF YET WHY NOT??????

I believe the network mucky mucks are taking to long to let us know the series will be kept for 2014. Is it so hard for them to tell the public and the cast and crew to enclude the writters that they still have a job. Common sence for rational people but of course the mucky mucks are not rational. Hello they went for a full season from just 13 to 22 shows. So when will they say it is renewed for 2014

Enough with the lame sex scenes. Stick with the action and intrigue. Otherwise great show.

I liked the show, but just can't tolerate the blazingly fast dialogue. You can even catch the actors gasping for air from time to time. It's irritating–I had to drop it from my list of favorites.

So happy this show is to remain with us. It's exciting and certainly grabbed my attention. So much so I have trouble waiting for the next episode. :o)

I didn't both with this show when it started in the Spring, but then I saw all the reviews on Netflix where the first 7 eps are streaming. I watch them all and actually assumed it would make a whole second season because it is just that good. I can't remember the last time I didn't watch a show just expected it to be cancelled so this was a big change for me! Let's hope it stays this quick paced.
