ABC has renewed Scandal for a sixth season. The veteran Shonda Rhimes political thriller continues to be a strong performer deep into its run, with viewership numbers in key demographics making it one of the network's top shows.

Scandal joins five other ABC dramas that were picked up today for the 2016-2017 season. Once Upon a Time, Quantico, How to Get Away with Murder, Grey's Anatomy, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will all be returning. Dramas still waiting on news include Castle, Nashville, American Crime, and Agent Carter.
