The drama continues as part of TGIT.

ABC announced today that Scandal has been renewed for a seventh season. The veteran Shonda Rhimes political thriller continues to be a strong performer deep into its run, with viewership numbers in key demographics making it one of the network's top shows. Word is the core cast will all be returning for the 2017-2018 season.
While Scandal's current season premiered later than usual due to star Kerry Washington's pregnancy, it hasn't missed a beat. The show not only premiered with its largest audience in a year, it also helped ABC win every Thursday since January in the all-important adults 18-49 demographic.
Scandal joins other the Shondaland dramas picked up today that air as part of ABC's TGIT lineup, including Grey's Anatomy and How to Get Away with Murder.

Dear Shonda, I'm getting a little tired of the shadow society plot. Can we please get back to Olivia's original gig?

Seriously this show has no plot, its the same thing over and over and over. Should've just been one episode.

Is anyone glad this got renewed? Scandal lost me when they let Olivia's father out of prison after finally taming the beast. Take a hint from Star Trek: The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Enough ridulousness already. When is The Catch coming back (if ever) At least that show hasn't been run into the ground.

I have grown tired of this show as well. I have not watched it since about season 3 or 4. I know Washington DC is insane, but it cannot really be this crazy every single freaking day!!
