One week after airing its Season 5 finale, NBC has renewed Parks and Recreation for a sixth season. The pickup comes as its Thursday night companion, The Office, prepares for its series finale next week after eight years on the air.
UPDATE: Season 6 of Parks & Recreation will premiere on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 8:00pm with an hour-long episode.

I LOVE! this show, first watched it on Netflix, first episode or two was kinda bumpy but it took off for me by the end of the season, I idolize Ron Swanson!

Of Course! Now that NBC has axed most of the other sitcoms.. they've got to have SOMETHING to air :) Not a horrible show.. not the same quality as the Office but worth a watch if it's a slow night.
